Most manufacturers of these parts recommend that you wash them with soft washing equipment, and their warranty doesn’t cover pressure or power washing.
How to use soft washing and pressure washing to get the best results
You can use pressure washing and soft washing side by side to wash parts of the house that require them when necessary to achieve the best results. Some parts of the house that require pressure washing have old paint, mud and chewing gum that are difficult to remove. Other parts like glass and some asphalt roofing sheets require that you use low pressure water with specialized chemical to take it off.
You can also use pressure washer to soft wash by reducing the pressure to less than 100psi. Luckily, today there are many designed tips that can be used to drop the pressure of a pressure washer just by changing tips.
However, if you want to wash roofs, it is advisable to get a designated soft wash applicator so that you can add the required chemicals that are needed to make the roof cleaner than if you just soft wash it with normal water.
